安装and Using a terminal emulator

Introduction

This guide will show the process of installing and configuring a terminal emulator. For Windows the tutorial will be using Tera Term which is an open-source, free, software implemented, terminal emulator. Digilent uses Tera Term in with our demos for communicating with the USB UART and Ethernet on Digilent FPGAs in Windows. For Linux the tutorial will be using PuTTY.

Prerequisites

  • 13.3MBof free hard-drive space.
